Coolum Netball welcomes registrations from players of all ages, abilities and levels of netball experience.

*Please note our fixtures and competition games are not played during QLD Govt School Holiday’s or on Public Holidays. Season dates include, where applicable, grading weeks, finals and a 2 week allowance for rescheduled wet weather games which will be played at the discretion of the Management Committee.

FEES

Fees are payable by every playing member. All players must be registered and fees paid before taking the court for their first game. A Netball Qld (NQ) membership (capitation & insurance) fee is payable at time of registration in addition to Coolum Netball competition fees. If you have already paid the full NQ player membership fee elsewhere or in Season 1 at CDNA this calendar year the NQ amount will not need to be paid again.

*Netball Qld player insurance not included. NetSetGo! Netball Queensland insurance and membership fee includes a participant pack which includes a size 4 netball and a t-shirt and key chain branded with your favourite Suncorp Super Netball team. Please note that your team selection is completed as part of the registration process for your child, information on t-shirt sizes is available when completing this step. Sunshine Coast Lightning is our local affiliated Suncorp Super Netball team in case you are unsure of which team to select.

  • NET – SKILLS Aged 5 to 6 years (born 2019 - 2020)

    • Group skills sessions aimed at introducing the game of netball and building the basic skills that are required to play netball. It offers a fun learning experience while meeting new friends.

    • Skills program is run on a Tuesday afternoon from 3.45pm to 4.30pm.

    SET & GO – MODIFIED GAMES Aged 7 to 10 years (born 2015 - 2018)

    • An aged-based program where teams register to play non-competitive weekly games under modified rules on Tuesday afternoons from 3.45pm

    • There are 3 aged-based levels in this program: White (Turning 7 or 8yrs), Pink (8 turning 9 years old) and Black (9 turning 10 years old).

    • Finals are not played for our modified teams as it is non-competitive.

    Modified Rules Summary

  • JUNIORS are male players aged 11 to 14 and female players aged 11 to 18 years (turning 11 to 18 years that calendar year, turning 18yrs must be attending school)

    • This is a competitive skills-based competition run on a Thursday with games from 3:45pm.

    • Teams are graded into divisions at the beginning of the season with final played in a two week finals format.

    • All games are played at Coolum District Netball Association on David Low Way, Coolum. As a Netball Queensland and CDNA requirement, all players MUST be registered before taking the court for their first game.

    • Boys are able to play in our Junior competition until U12. Boys turning 13/14 years are also able to play but will placed in our boy’s division (girls are permitted to play in teams in our boy’s division).

  • Ladies competition is played Tuesday evenings. Players must 14+ to participate.

    • Season is 15 weeks including grading and finals (if applicable)

    • Teams will be graded into divisions depending on numbers and at the Management Committees discretion.

    • All games are played at Coolum District Netball Association on David Low Way, Coolum. As a Netball Queensland and CDNA requirement, all players MUST be registered before taking the court for their first game.

  • All team nominations for Coolum Netball competitions are made via NetballConnect with the exception of our Modified games in our NetSetGo program.

Coolum Competitions

Coolum Netball - CODE OF CONDUCT

Your team and players will be required to abide by the Constitution and Policies & Procedures of Coolum District Netball Association and the Rules of Play of Netball Australia. For the safety and enjoyment of all players, volunteers, CDNA staff and committee all members both players and non-players will be expected to adhere to the relevant Code of Conduct. These are available on the CDNA website.

  • Player registration fees may be refunded to individual players provided the player has not taken the court in grading or fixture matches for that season. If the player has taken the court during grading or fixtures, then no refund or partial refund will be provided.

  • Players may play in casual uniforms if they are the same team colours and style. For example, same length black bike pants and tees in the same team colour. Proper footwear should always be worn. Please note bibs are included as part of the teams uniform.

  • Fingernails must be short and smooth. Taping of nails is not permitted. Gloves are not permitted.

  • Inline with Netball Queensland’s Policy no jewellery of any kind is to be worn whilst playing.

    Earrings must be removed and may NOT be taped.
